I make portraits of performers and creatives — actors, musicians, comedians, entrepreneurs. People with an edge to their work. I shoot in the places they actually inhabit: backstreets, dive bars, borrowed rooms. My interest is in identity — how we adapt who we are to where we are, and what surfaces when that gap closes. I work alone, I work light, and I take my time.

Identity is situational. We're all telling a story about ourselves, and it shifts depending on where we are and who's watching. My work explores that tension — not as a concept I impose on shoots, but as a lens I bring to every subject and every environment. The best pictures happen when people stop managing their image and something truer comes through. Getting there takes time, trust, and the right surroundings. That's what I'm here to create.

I'm based in Albany and work regularly in New York City.
